South London Based Therapist

I am an south london based psychotherapist and I offer in person therapy in three different locations across south london these are based in London Bridge, East Dulwich and Clapham, if required I can also offer sessions online if required.

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, issues within family dynamics, your sexuality, gender, race, relationships, issues at work, loneliness and feelings of isolation or whether you are going through a crisis, struggling with longstanding issues, or are looking to gain a better understanding of yourself, I provide a space where you can talk openly free from judgement with an experienced, empathetic and experienced therapist.

It is my view that quite often my clients come in to therapy looking for me to help me fix a problem, what I aim to do in my sessions is to help my clients gain some understanding of their feelings, emotions and patterns of behaviour and I believe psychotherapy can help gain that understanding. I believe that psychotherapy is more about understanding and less about diagnosis. Therapy in my view is a co-created space between client and therapist, and it is not a one size fits all approach, each client comes in with their own perspective and life experience and I tailor my work to meet each individual’s needs. I believe past experiences inform our responses and emotions in the present and psychotherapy can help us understand our responses in the present, and possibly help my clients avoid unhelpful and dysfunctional patterns of behaviour and responses to events in their lives. With the view to perhaps leading a more full and present life.

About
me

I have trained for five years in a postgraduate clinical psychodynamic psychotherapy qualification, and this extensive training underpins my practice, which is both rigorous and thorough.

I am an accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist, I am registered with the U.K. Council for Psychotherapy, and hold a post graduate diploma in psychodynamic psychotherapy through.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the creative industries, and I like to bring some of that creative thinking in to my therapeutic work. I have experience working within large scale corporate structures, and feel this experience helps inform my work, particularly in relation to clients dealing with issues at work.

“I believe that past experiences, inform our responses and emotions in the present”
